Charlesworth, Lewandowski and Mann

The first step of recuiting an army has been taken - a mercenary force to aid in the capture of Hope, a small village in south-western Shropshire.

At once a one-liner, a Quixotic exercise, and an irreverant and absurd poke at contemporary international relations, Take Hope will employ humour, parody, art and a rag-tag band of artists, students and close friends to examine whether a place, a name, an idea, can be forcibly taken.

Charlesworth, Lewandowski and Mann live and work in London. They all studied at Goldsmiths College. They have participated in numerous group shows over the past few years, and had a solo exhibition at the Sassoon Gallery, London, in 2007.
